To use this Barnstar template, create a new section on the user talkpage of the user you want to give the award to, and add {{subst:Bot operator's barnstar|1=Put your message here.~~~~}}
to the talk page of the user to whom you wish to award it.
This barnstar has an alternate version. To use, add |2=alt to the end:

Which produces:

You can change the title of the barnstar with |2=: {{Bot operator's barnstar|2=Tool Operator's Barnstar}}. This also works with the other parameters (in this case, either every parameter must be numbered or none may be numbered; you can't mix the styles): {{Bot operator's barnstar|My message! Yak yak, blah blah.|Tool Operator's Barnstar|alt}} gives:
