Cosmopolitan?

[edit]

The auction listing does indeed say the book was submitted to Cosmopolitan, yet my understanding is that Charteris' publishers at the time were Hodder and Stoughton (UK) and The Crime Club (US). Most Saint books were first published in magazines but I don't recall Cosmo being one and even if it didn't publish it, the book publishers should have been in the picture. Unless it was decided post-Pearl Harbor that the story was pointless to publish now. ~2026-28767-29 (talk) 20:58, 23 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
