Claimants and Unvalidated
[edit]There's a difference between claimants and Unvalidated. Christina Cetoute is a claimant and Trinh Thi Khong also is one. I thought we made it official that only validated and unvalidated people are allowed. NO CLAIMANTS!
Include verified people with uncertain DoB
[edit]I found these individuals who lived to be at least centenarians and their ages seem to be verifiable, however their exact DoB is uncertain. Should they be included in the same section as those who have a certain dob or in an entirely different section in the article though?
- Sheikh Mukhtar Mohamed Hussein (1912–12 June 2012), Somalia, 100 years, 0 days to 100 years, 163 days.
- Learnard Muocha (1911–24 July 2015), Malawi, 103 years, 205 days to 104 years, 204 days. (unsure if this source is reliable)
- Al-Hajjah Amna Al-Sabah (1914–22 October 2017), Bahrain, 103 years, 0 days to 103 years, 294 days.
- Murabit al-Hajj (1913–17 July 2018), Mauritania, 104 years, 198 days to 105 years, 197 days.
- Jassim (b. between 1 January 1922 & 16 May 1922), Syria, 104+ years old.
@Jwkozak91 Thoughts on if these individuals should be included in this listing? Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 09:55, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
- I think that we should include these individuals. I'm thinking like, perhaps choosing a different color to indicate that their date of birth is uncertain. ~2026-17804-38 (talk) 19:11, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
- Considering there is no objections, I'll insert these people but if you wanna do something else constructive with these people once I do my edit feel free to so to it! Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 06:54, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
I would only include cases with exact known of birthdate. Sources you show can be unreliable.--Kachelus (talk) 12:38, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- Some of these seem to reliable likewise Hussein, Muocha, Al-Sabah, Al-Hajj & Jassim (his passport verifies his DoB). Hussein & Al-Hajj's ages are supported by multiple news sources so they should definitely stay especially considered we already included unvalidated cases highlighted in light red colour. You could hide the rest but these two should stay nonetheless. Kachelus it seems unfair to include plausible but unvalidated supercentenarians yet not verified centenarians with uncertain DoB so I think my edits should be reinstated. Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 12:45, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- BTW, Bahrain did exist before 1914; see Bahrain and its Dependencies, though it was a British protectorate back then. There is no secondary sources claiming Louis Vatrican is the oldest man from [[Monaco]) either so your other point is invalid. Some lists including List of oldest living state leaders / List of longest-living state leaders include people with uncertain DoB though but in different sections with implications that their ages seem to be relatively verified to an extent. My edit summary explanation very unfournately became cut but I was saying there already are numerous people who lived 100–105 years whose sources do not say there were the oldest ever from their countries so that is irrevelant. Multiple other articles include people with uncertain DoB if their ages are verified by secondary sources but with notations like in a separate list / colour like the IP suggested. You should at least compromise to put these people in a seperaye table/colour instead of removing/hiding them entirely. Especially since these remain the oldest documented, likely verified cases from their countries nevertheless. Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 12:52, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
Change or no Change
[edit]Should we change Bechu Prasad with Jale Bainisika 1914/1915-15 February 2020 (105) ~2026-28752-43 (talk) 22:08, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- I've put in your edit request alongside my recent edit on it! Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 12:39, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
I suggest keeping both since Jale Bainisika lived anywhere between 105 years, 0 days to 105 years, 364 days so he might've been older than Bechu Prasad. On that basis for Iraqi centenarians I propose that we insert Malik Dohan al-Hassan since he lived 101 years, 326 days so he might've been older than Mukarram Talabani. The list description states how that multiple entries for a given country indicate that the oldest person is disputed so both of these should be inserted on it I think. Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 14:06, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- Alright that sounds good to me, also Malik Dohan al-Hassan died in Jordan and I can't find anyone in Jordan. So maybe also insert him in Jordan. ~2026-28752-43 (talk) 21:38, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- Yes I think that's a really great compromise, go ahead doing these changes! Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 23:20, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
Question
[edit]By chance, could somebody add this person as the oldest ever from Oman? I don't really feel confident on if he should be put on this list hence why I didn't add him. He initially was claimed as a longevity claim to be 127 but his son later confirmed through document evidence he was at least 110 when he died in 2017 (meaning he was born in 1907) though this is yet to be validated. Perhaps he could be added in the oldest ever section with the invalidated colour because we already included other unvalidated cases? Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 15:12, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
By the way, I couldn't find any secondary sources mentioning the Anonymous from Nigeria/Juliana Villarreal from Panama in the oldest living section. Should they be replaced though? Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 15:18, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
- I found Salim bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, someone who matched your description. I think it is Ok to put him, but the part is how old to him as. Also, I do agree with replacing the Nigerian and Panamanian people. ~2026-28752-43 (talk) 14:49, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- I think we could put his age as 110 years, 254 days something like that with a note saying he initially claimed a longevity myth to be born in 1890 but his dob was later confirmed to be 110 through documented evidence though it's yet to be validated. Yvonne Arend-Francier
[edit]Belguim Have a joint oldest person with Yvonne Arend-Francier(died in France) 28 February 1913-2 September 2025 and Joanna Deroover-Turcksin both at 112 years and 186 days. How do we do this? ~2026-28752-43 (talk) 19:26, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
- There seems to be an issue with her formatting in the list, I've tried so many different ways to fix it but it won't work for some reason? Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 22:14, 18 July 2026 (UTC)
- Nevermind, it, thankfully, seems to be fixed now. Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 13:36, 4 August 2026 (UTC)
I suggest listing both since they both share the record so it makes sense to list either simultaneously. Pe Class Heroes010210 (talk) 21:15, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
Lesotho
[edit]For Lesotho's oldest person I found Meshu Mokitimi born 1926. I just don't know if he's alive or not. I found an Instagram page saying he turned 100 on March 15(not sure if that's credible). Last time i found him he was 99 in 2025 8th of august. https://lestimes.com/?p=87649 ~2026-39560-42 (talk) 16:54, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
- You can add him, an Instagram page although not credible could indicate he is alive, so you could put living at least for now until more sources are found The Grenadian Historian (Aka. Mwen Sé Kéyòl Translator-a) (talk) 18:32, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
Update
[edit]Could someone update the death of Mzee Canon Kolliab Maswere from Uganda. He died on 17 June 2026 at 108. https://www.facebook.com/wabusa.wilfred/posts/todays-story-kyalo-ku-kyalombale-mourns-canon-koliabu-m-maswere-108-he-lived-for/3994218604045052/ ~2026-43331-77 (talk) 07:32, 6 August 2026 (UTC)
