misspelled name
[edit]This article contains 3 different versions of the name, none of them correct. ( I had corrected what was necessary and moved the article. User Sam Sailor reverted it. I'm no longer interested to offer my work on this article)
If the temple is named घृष्णेश्वर this translates as ghr̥ṣṇeśvar in IAST (ghr̥ṣṇēśvar in ISO). In general English spelling, this yields Ghrishneshwar (following Hindi pronunciation) or Ghrushneshwar (following Marathi pronunciation), but NOT Grishneshwar or Grushneshwar as given in the article.
(I had already wasted my on correcting it, Sam Sailor reverted, and I'm not offering to re-enter my edits manually for the second time. So the task to make this article at least named correctly, is left to someone else who feels the calling) Yak-indolog (talk) 06:11, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- I can see that some reliable English-language sources spell it "Grishneshwar" and others spell it "Ghrishneshwar". We need to preserve the spelling used in the English-language article titles of sources, but otherwise we should use the spelling of the article title. I have changed "Grushneshwar" to "Grishneshwar" in the text of the article. -- Toddy1 (talk) 08:58, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
