The actual quote is "It's impossible that Tiny Vinyl will ever replace the audiophile-level quality of a full-sized 12-inch record. However, we believe that the average fan doesn't want that." We must be looking at two different articles. The one I'm looking at doesn't have that quote. It's hard to tell because the weird side scrolling partially defeats search in my browser but I'm sure that quote isn't in there. GA-RT-22 (talk) 22:10, 19 August 2025 (UTC)

Records don't always have spiral grooves

According to the lead text, "[a record] is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove." Records only including locked grooves, such as this one, are not included in this definition, but they are still undeniably records. Worms and weird fishes (talk) 21:55, 2 March 2026 (UTC)

A locked groove is still a spiral, although a degenerate one. See List of spirals. However, it's a violation of WP:LEAD to include this definition without it being verified in the article with a source citation. GA-RT-22 (talk) 22:34, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
