Tenure as CIA director

[edit]

Bush was director of the CIA from January 30, 1976 to January 20, 1977 Why is there no mention of this in the article ? Seems like a glaring omission ~2026-32270-32 (talk) 08:44, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

George W. Bush was never director of the CIA, that was his father George H.W. Bush. A. Randomdude0000 (talk) 11:11, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I was about to say the same. Or are you suggesting the position his father had at the CIA should be mentioned here? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 11:13, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Headings

[edit]

All the information that was there is still present, though I have added more headings because it was weird how it went from early life and career to his governorship and etc. NicholasGian25 (talk) 01:08, 4 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

"United States Air Force officer" in opening?

[edit]

I probably would have removed this boldly, but I generally don't like changing the opening sentence of high profile articles, particularly world leaders without discussing on talk page, but to the point, I don't think he is noted enough as a "United States Air Force officer" for it to be in the opening paragraph of the article, compared to his tenure as President which is he best known for, or his career as a businessman, which included being the only President to have ever been an owner of a Major League Baseball team; the Texas Rangers. The Air Force details are mentioned below. I am aware of the George W. Bush military service controversy, but I don't think he gets noted enough as an Air Force officer for it to be in the opening. So unless someone raises good reason to objection, I feel like this should be removed from the opening. Any thoughts? Servite et contribuere (talk) 04:33, 14 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
