[edit]

Informations needs to be updated. 2600:1006:B005:6B15:1979:658D:FDD6:5D5F (talk) 20:27, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Meaning what? tgeorgescu (talk) 20:45, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

State atheism

[edit]

@Pizza1289: There was certainly state atheistic propaganda, but the Communist regime decided it is better to control religion than to prohibit it. tgeorgescu (talk) 14:52, 30 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Emblem has wrong link, or wrong image

[edit]

It goes to the 1992 Romanian coat of arms. The article for the one displayed is at Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Romania but I don't know if the image should be changed or if both images and links should be included in the box for the different time periods. 136.35.238.161 (talk) 13:31, 18 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Consensus

[edit]

@ErickTheMerrick and TheUzbek: There isn't a WP:CONSENSUS of one. tgeorgescu (talk) 19:02, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Tgeorgescu Are you disputing that there isn't a consensus on Romania being communist? but you are right, there is not a consensus on totalitarian and all the other clutter. Lets have what we all agree on and remove what there is no consensus on. TheUzbek (talk) 20:26, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
I would say that the numerous sources refering to the time period between 1947-65 and 1971-1989 as totalitarian is good evidence of totalitarian governance during those times. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 20:54, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
@ErickTheMerrick and TheUzbek: Both of you, provide evidence there was a consensus in the talk page for your claim. tgeorgescu (talk) 21:35, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
For what? Communist state? There wasn't, but they made the edit. I don't care if its Marxist-Leninist state or Communist state as long as sources are provided. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 21:37, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough, RPR/RSR did not call itself "Marixst-Leninist state". But it did not call itself "Communist state", either, because communism was supposed to happen in the indefinite future. tgeorgescu (talk) 04:37, 23 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Communist state is a scholarly term that defines the form of government of these states; unified power, supreme state organ of power, vanguardism and the like. Terms like People's democratic state and Socialist state (communism) do note denote the form of government, but the base and superstructure relations in the given state. This is basic.
