Template-protected edit request to Template:Gs/alert

[edit]

Could you please change the following in Template:Gs/alert:

Reverts of edits made by anonymous IP editors that are not vandalism are exempt from 1RR but are subject to the usual rules on edit warring.

As of 2025, IP addresses are no longer used for attribution. TheTechie[she/they] | talk? 05:13, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Technically speaking, all users are anonymous (barring those who explicitly link their real-life identities). If any change is to be made, it should probably be changing anonymous IP editors to unregistered temporary accounts or similar. Closing the request until more accurate wording gets consensus for implementation. Primefac (talk) 00:06, 14 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Can you change it to that instead? TheTechie[she/they] | talk? 02:14, 14 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it's fairly uncontroversial. Primefac (talk) 10:12, 14 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Dark mode problems

[edit]

I'm getting white text on white background from this template when I go to e.g. . There must be some CSS weirdness, as that does not happen when I look at Template:Gs/editnotice. -- Beland (talk) 01:49, 29 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

On line 1, please change:

per the CfD discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2026 May 4#Category:Pages with editnotices. Please also update the documentation once completed, or ping me so I can update it. Staraction (talk · contribs) 06:42, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please delete the following bullet point An editor must be aware before they can be sanctioned. as proposed in the sandbox. The reason is because of the awareness repeal in June 2026. Justjourney (talk | contribs) 04:20, 25 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
