New York Yanks/Yankees colors
[edit]Where do the colors for the New York Yanks and New York Yankees (AAFC) even come from? They don't match the colors listed in the infoboxes. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 14:38, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- I have no idea where those colors come from. I'm going to do a little research & see what they were. Glad you pointed out the discrepancy. CharlesEditor23 (talk) 21:33, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
- Also, FYI, I changed the historical HTML color codes for those teams over at Module:Gridiron color/data. Hope that helps. CharlesEditor23 (talk) 17:18, 30 March 2026 (UTC)

My edit diff is found under the sandbox page. My sources for these proposed changes are found at the Broncos' uniform history website, Evolution of EVERY Team's Logo and Helmet | NFL Explained! (via YouTube). The team's colors should be based off a combination of its logo and uniform history. ~2026-17574-87 (talk) 19:14, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Eagles247 Do you have any objections to the Denver Broncos' primary color at Module:Gridiron color/data being orange ? I mean, last time I checked, white text on an orange background isn't WP:CONTRAST-compliant, per WebAIM.org. The orange background would need to use navy text in order to be WP:CONTRAST-compliant. CharlesEditor23 (talk) 02:21, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
- @CharlesEditor23: I think you have it backwards. The text should be white, not navy. The navy text at Denver Broncos and Jarrett Stidham are making my eyes bleed. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 17:57, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- I changed it back. Please try again. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 18:00, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for changing it back. Yes, I'm aware that the Denver Broncos (my favorite NFL team)'s primary team home jersey color is orange (and has been since the 2012 season), but it's worth noting that navy has always been the primary team branding color since the team's rebrand to its current logo prior to the 1997 season. Not only that, but navy has a higher WP:CONTRAST as a background color for white text, per WebAIM.org. CharlesEditor23 (talk) 03:02, 26 March 2026 (UTC)

Add Oklahoma Outlaws and Oklahoma / Arizona Outlaws: The original USFL franchise colors only work with Arizona Outlaws. The team was also the Oklahoma Outlaws but that is gray and black
- Add ["Oklahoma / Arizona Outlaws"] = "Arizona Outlaws",
- Add ["Oklahoma Outlaws"] = "Arizona Outlaws",

[edit]Could an editor who has the WP:TPE please change and update every team's HTML color codes, both modern and historical to include alt tertiary color without any errors and coding it permanently?
Every team has an alt tertiary color to prevent clashes in cases the primary, secondary, and tertiary color clash.
