Ibom Angels Football Club is a Nigerian women's football club that plays in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. They currently play in the NWFL Premiership.
History
[edit]Ibom Angels Football Club is owned by the Akwa-Ibom State Government and was created in the year 2004 in its present state.[3] It had been known as Ibom Babes and Ibom Unity Queens before 2004.[4] In the 2009 season, they got promoted to the top-flight,[5] remaining there till their relegation in 2021.[6] However, they regained promotion the following season after finishing top of their group in the second division,[7] only to relegate again that same season.[8]
They have reached the Aiteo Cup final twice, losing both consecutive finals to Rivers Angels in 2017 and 2018.[9][10]
They currently play at the Uyo Township Stadium in Uyo.[11]
