List of secondary school leaving qualifications

A secondary school leaving qualification is a document signifying that the holder has fulfilled any secondary education requirements of their locality, often including the passage of a final qualification examination.
For each leaving certificate student, they obtain a certain number of points coinciding with the results they received in their examinations. These results will then determine the qualifications of the student; Whether they get into university or whether they have to have an alternative method into what they wish to study.

[edit]- Brazil - The Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio, shortened as Enem, is a non-mandatory, standardized Brazilian national exam, which evaluates high school students in Brazil. Recently[when?], the exam has been used both as an admission test for enrollment in 68 federal universities and 26 educational institutes, as well as for certification for a high school degree.[citation needed]

- In India, the education curricula is managed by multiple governing bodies, known as a Board, at the national level by non-domestic national boards such as IB, IGCSE and domestic national boards such as CISCE and CBSE. Both the national, and the regional educational Boards in the States of India are entrusted in conducting examinations at the Tenth grade and Twelfth grade levels. These pivotal examinations are generally referred to as the Board Examination , as these examinations are conducted by the educational Board rather than a school. The Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) is the unified Educational Board Association in India, whose members are the various state Boards, and both the non-domestic and domestic national Boards, which are approved by the Ministry of Education of Government of India. The members have the right to conduct Board examinations in India. The layman term of 'Board Examination' are named differently according to the conducting Board.

- In the State of Karnataka The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSSEB) Conducts the SSC Examination for Class 10 and conducts HSC Examinations called as the 2nd PUC Examination.
