Compressor pitch vs turbine pitch and uncommon direction of rotation

  1. Blades of compressor-disks and turbine-disks must be pitched in the same direction! The picture shows different orientations for these.
  2. An orange arrow drawn around the shaft (combustion section) shows the direction of rotation. Commonly however a turbojet engine turns the other way round.
