Sunil (also known as Sunny) is an Indian-born businessman.[1][2] He serves as the Special Envoy for Economic Affairs, Foreign Investment, Trade and Industry for the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis.[3][4][5]
Business career
[edit]In 1998, Gehani relocated to the Caribbean and began his entrepreneurial career. He later established Global Link International, a consultancy involved in investment migration and citizenship advisory services.[6][7]
He owns and operates Square Duty Free stores in Saint Kitts and Nevis and is associated with hospitality ventures including Buddha Lounge and Dining and The Big Cane Rum brand.[8][9]
Diplomatic career
[edit]In 2025, Sunil was appointed Special Envoy for Economic Affairs, Foreign Investment, Trade and Industry by the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis.[10] In April 2026 he attended the inauguration of the Saint Kitts and Nevis High Commission in New Delhi alongside Foreign Minister Denzil Douglas and interacted with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar during events aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between India and Saint Kitts and Nevis.[11]
Community activities
[edit]Gehani served as President of the Indian Merchants Association in Saint Kitts and Nevis. During the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in 2017 he participated in relief and evacuation efforts for members of the Indian community affected by the disaster.[12] In 2024, he was included among the "45 Remarkable and Influential Men in St. Kitts and Nevis" by SKN Times.[13]
