O'Shea Road is a major Australian arterial road that extends from the suburbs of Berwick to Beaconsfield in the state of Victoria. It extends for approximately 1.6 kilometres (1 mile), although the entire A17/B668 route lasts for approximately 12.2km (7.6mi) and connects motorists from the Monash Freeway with the shopping area of Berwick via Clyde Road and a direct link to the Old Princes Highway, providing a route from Berwick to the south-east of the greater Melbourne area.

History and extension

[edit]

Although the road itself had existed since residential areas expanded into this area of greater Berwick in the 1990s, plans by the Victorian Government to extend the road cropped up in the early 2020's, and the extension into its' modern form was completed in 2022.[1]

The road services numerous residential areas of Berwick as well as the shopping centre Eden Rise Village[2] and the O'Shea Medical Centre[3]
