Dandy's World (stylized in all caps) is a horror mascot survival game created on Roblox on January 15, 2024 by a user named Qwelver aka Qwel and the indie game studio BlushCrunch Studio, and later released on June 14, 2024. It was one of the fastest games to reach 1 billion visits on Roblox,[1] taking just 6 months to achieve this milestone. It had over 2.7 billion visits as of March 2025, placing it in the top 40 most played Roblox games.[2]
In 2026, the American publishing company Scholastic announced a partnership to start creating books.[3]
Premise
[edit]In the lobby, the player selects a cartoon character, known as a "Toon", to enter an elevator and travel down a floor with up to 7 other players from online. Each floor, the players will be required to complete all of the machines by extracting a black substance from them, referred to as ichor. The player characters approach monstrous versions of themselves, known as "Twisteds", who are covered in ichor and will hunt down any player on sight.
There also are items that can be found on the floor, such as cassette tapes, candy, containers that reward the player with research on a randomly-selected Twisted, etc. The items can also be found at the shop during every two intermission rounds, run by a rainbow colored flower, named as Dandy, the leader of the operation. The game ends when all players are killed by the Twisteds, and killed players are redirected to either the lobby, or a new game.
Gaining ichor from machines, capsules, and game experience allows you to purchase a Toon of your choice from an available shopkeeper (excluding Dyle, a pocketwatch who instead sells cosmetics), each with unique abilities to help the player.
