The Anderson executive council was an executive council of British India's Bengal Presidency, one of four cabinet established as per Government of India Act 1935. It was formed in 1932 under the leadership of the provincial governor John Anderson and remained in office until 1937, when it was succeeded by the First Huq ministry.[1]
In 1933, several members at a session of Bengal Legislative Council proposed to reduce the members of the executive council.[2]
